Why We Charge an Eco Fee (and Why It Matters)
Because beauty shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet.

At our salon, we believe that taking care of people includes taking care of the planet. That’s why we’ve partnered with Green Circle Salons, an award-winning organization that helps us responsibly recycle up to 95% of the beauty waste created during your service — including hair clippings, foils, color tubes, excess hair color, and more.

What Is the Eco Fee?

You may have noticed a $3.50 Eco Fee on your receipt. This isn’t an added charge on top of your service price — it’s actually a built-in cost that we simply list separately so you can see how part of your service is contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable beauty industry.

We want to be transparent and show you exactly where your dollars are going. The Eco Fee is not a surcharge, and it does not mean you’re paying extra — it’s simply a breakdown of what’s already included in your service.

Where Does That $3.50 Go?

Every Eco Fee helps us offset the environmental impact of salon services through Green Circle Salons, who:

  • Recycle used foils and color tubes
  • Turn leftover hair color into clean energy
  • Transform hair clippings into oil booms for ocean cleanups
  • Properly dispose of single-use items like gloves and masks
  • Divert beauty waste from landfills and waterways

By working with Green Circle, we’re proud to be part of a network of salons across North America working to make beauty sustainable, ethical, and responsible.

Why Do We Show It Separately?

Think of it like seeing the line for sales tax or gratuity on a receipt. Showing the Eco Fee separately is our way of:

  • Being transparent with our guests
  • Raising awareness about sustainable salon practices
  • Demonstrating that your service goes beyond beauty — it supports the environment too

Your Service, Your Impact

When you get your hair done here, you’re not just walking out looking and feeling beautiful — you’re helping reduce landfill waste, protect waterways, and support a circular economy in the beauty industry.

So thank you. Thank you for being part of something bigger.
Because together, we’re not just making people beautiful —
we’re making beauty better.
